Hello Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Enthusiasts!
This year, Greenbelt Alliance is co-sponsoring the Urban Land Institute's 2009 TOD MarketPlace, and it is in San Jose!
The event includes tours of several priority sites from around the region, including Diridon Transit Station on July 23rd. Space on these individual tours is limited, but the big event happens on Thursday, September 24th from 9:00am to 4:30pm at the Hilton San Jose. The flier is attached.
The Bay Area will spend over $10 billion on transit investments over the next decade creating thousands of strategically located development opportunities. New transit-oriented development (TOD) will increase ridership and strengthen communities near new and existing transit stations. Please join ULI San Francisco this summer to learn about these plans and opportunity sites through this series of Bay Area TOD tours. Explore featured cities with their planners, stakeholders, and ULI San Francisco’s Technical Assistance Panels. Then, attend the TOD MarketPlace event to hear the Panels’ advice regarding the opportunity sites toured.
