Ellis St/101 Intersection

Is it possible to find a less bike friendly crossing than this intersection?
Southbound from Moffett Field, it is not possible for a bike to trigger the lights. Unless a motorist happens along, you have no choice but to run the lights.
With the Light Rail line & the number of stoplights at this intersection, it is unsafe & inconvenient to get through this intersection regardless which direction you're heading.
Has this been raised previously? Is this a Mountain View issue? A Caltrans issue?
