A few more are expected in the near future including Alum Rock and Cottle.

The lockers utilize a Smart-card key, whereby a pool of lockers will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis to holders of the Smart card. The first phase of the effort is completed at the following locations:

Site 1-River Oaks Park & Ride Lot, San Jose
Site 2-Branham Light Rail Station, San Jose
Site 3-Tamien Light Rail Station, San Jose
Site 4-Winchester Light Rail Station/Transit Center, Campbell
Site 5-Great Mall-Main St. Light Rail Station/Transit Center, Milpitas
Site 6-Ohlone-Chynoweth Light Rail Station – East, San Jose)

Existing locker renters can exchange their locker key for a Smart-card. Call (408) 321-7520 or email bikelockers@vta.org for information on how to obtain a Smart-card.

Phase 2 will retrofit an additional 35 lockers thanks to a Transportation Funds for Clean Air (TFCA) grant from the BAAQMD (Air District); the schedule for the remaining 400 lockers will depend on funding availability.
