this week's list is way too long

August 20, 2008 - 10:53pm -- corinne

... but I'm going to ride my bike for 3 or 4 hours tomorrow anyway, darn it. I've been thinking about going up Mt. Hamilton or something, although it's more likely that I head up hwy 9 and contemplate rumble strips.

It's the board meeting tomorrow night and I just can't handle another 12 hour day. Besides, theoretically I should be fresh and ready to be insightful at a board meeting. It's always difficult with evening meetings.

Today I had a productive meeting with the Silicon Valley Community Foundation--they wanted some colleagues and I to update them on important issues facing the community in the transportation sector these days. It was great, and hopefully we've generated some interest that will lead to positive change for cyclists in the Silicon Valley area.

Maiki and I met and worked out some process changes for content management, and oh yes, I fleshed out our plan for a Bicycle Friendly Workplace certification, I edited our appeal letter, generated a slew of financial reports for the board to review, discussed the BART tax with multiple people, looked at our Caltrain position with some board members, and traded around 100 emails. I'm not complaining, I love my job. Sometimes I just need to type these things out to feel like I'm getting somewhere, you know?
