Campaigns: follow up to Advocacy 101 session

At the Advocacy 101 session at last week's Bike Advocacy Summit, we invited attendees to share what they'd like to target with a campaign. Here are the responses:

  • Bike education in schools (John in Redwood City)
  • Promoting safe routes to Woodside elementary schools (Millo in Woodside)
  • Getting SJ and other cities to require bike parking in population-dense areas (Teri in San Jose)
  • Southbound bike lane on Alameda de las Pulgas between Fernside St and Woodside Rd (Bob from Woodside)
  • 280/Alpine Road interchange (Patt in Portola Valley)
  • Woodside / Portola Valley no sign policy (Patt in Portola Valley)
  • Stop signs at Arasteradero for Palo Alto Bike Path Crossing for kids to get to Gunn (Vici in Mountain View)
  • Artistic and useful bike racks (Chris in Los Altos)
  • Railroad crossing to connect Curtis and Yellowstone (Rob in Milpitas)
  • Prohibit the construction of private roads in RWC (Billy in Redwood City)
  • Improve Woodside Road intersections with MIddlefield, Bay Rd, Broadway (Billy in Redwood City)

Interested in working on one of these, or have your own? Speak up here and let us others know!
