Northbound from San Mateo

I am looking at the SVBC's very detailed north-south map, which is awesome. I haven't taken it all the way yet, but hope to on May 12.

I have one question and one comment:

The comment: When I'm headed south from Millbrae I prefer to use California Ave to Broadway to Carolan, and take Carolan as far as the Burlingame-San Mateo border, before jogging over to Claremont. I find Carolan much safer and quieter than California Ave/San Mateo Ave through that stretch. This would work in the northbound direction too. Not sure how well it would hook up with the northerly segments of your map, though.

The question: Any reason your map doesn't use the fairly long stretch of bike trail that runs along the bay from about Foster City (south end) to Burlingame (north)?
