Join Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition as we ride to promote Safe Routes to Schools in Santa Clara County. This easy three mile ride will allow families to ride together and discover how fun biking to school and around the neighborhood can be. The ride will begin and end at Las Palmas Park and will pass by two local schools – Cherry Chase and Cumberland.
The ride begins at 10:30, but be sure to arrive early to get your bikes checked by Sports Basement and your helmets checked by members of the Sunnyvale Bicycle and Pedestrian Bicycle Advisory Commission. After the ride, celebrate with friends, food, music, and goodie bags.
This event is sponsored by the City of Sunnyvale, Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition, Stanford Hospital Trauma Services, and Traffic Safe Communities Network in the Santa Clara County Public Health Department.
