Changes to the Santa Clara County Ordinance Division B5, Bicycles and Skateboards, as discussed with the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) some months ago are finally coming before the County Board of Supervisors for action on February 8. The changes are mostly a deletion of ordinance that is not practical and no longer desirable. The transmittal and proposed revisions will be viewable at the County website beginning February 1 at http://www.sccgov.org/portal/site/scc/bosagendalist.
This revision to the County Ordinance was initiated at the request of the County BPAC. The proposed changes eliminate many outdated provisions and bring the ordinance into conformance with the California Vehicle Code.
