City of Los Altos to discuss the future of the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee

January 11, 2011 - 10:54am -- Carlos

Tonight the city of Los Altos in a special joint meeting will consider the fate of the city's bicycle and pedestrian advisory committee. The meeting is so special it will not be held in the council chambers but in the Neutra House (181 Hillview Avenue), a short walk away.

The city has scheduled tonight's joint meeting to discuss the issues. As I mentioned in a previous posting, many cities believe the short term benefits outweigh the costs to pedestrian and cyclist's safety.

Cyclist's from the group Bike Soiree will be meeting in Sunnyvale this evening for a casual dinner before riding over to the meeting. Check the Bike Soiree website for more information.

Let the Los Altos City council hear your view to this action. Please attend tonight's meeting.
