At SVBC, we advocate for the rights of cyclists on the road. It is unlawful to prohibit bicycles on public roadways. Cyclists need access to public facilities, and in this situation, access to the airport in case travelers want to get there via bike. More importantly, the airport is a huge employer and many of its employees may want to ride their bikes to work. Add your voice to help us speak out on the "no bikes" sign at the San José airport. Click here to sign our petition to remove this sign.

i rode out to the airport a
i rode out to the airport a couple of weeks ago to rent a car -- wow, i can't believe how they disappeared bikes from the area. the airport planners belong in jail -- all of them.
i suspect the sign was designed to keep folks off of one of the highways -- where bikes may be disallowed?? no idea.
it just really sucks that the place was just completely torn up and redesigned, and now we have to beg these people to bolt-on some makeshift and insufficient bike infrastructure.
i want jail time for these people -- anything less is just not acceptable.

As much money as has been
As much money as has been spent making the new airport terminal, you would think that they could spend a fraction to actually pave the trail that runs along the Guadalupe River. And in the last few weeks, the worn down paths on the gravel trail have been torn up making it even worse.
Sorry SJC...I ride a road bike...I'll be riding through the terminals until the trail is paved - sign removed or not.

Rats! Me and a friend are
Rats! Me and a friend are going to ride from Diridon CalTrain to SJC. And yes we are going to be challenged. Just like the HSR authority, did the airport traffic planners ask their biking constituents? NO!
