At the end of 2009, the SVBC Board of Directors voted to move its meetings to a quarterly schedule. The first meeting of the year will be on March 18. The following meetings are scheduled for June 17 and September 16. More information will be available on the SVBC Calendar as the dates approach.

Surely you know that the bylaws do not allow this.
The bylaws state that the board shall meet on the third thursday of every odd numbered month.
If you fail to have a board meeting in January, 2010, and schedule regular odd numbered monthly board meetings, I shall file a complaint with the State Attorney General's Registry of Charitable Trust that you are failing to have board meetings as the bylaws require. They will require you to have board meetings as required, and censure you as appropriate.

It is indeed correct that the move to quarterly board meetings requires a revision of the bylaws. The SVBC board of directors has a consultant working on the bylaws update currently, and once finalized, the revised bylaws will be published on the website.
