49er EIR is SVBC interested in the Hetch Hetchy as a bypass

Hi,
Greg
Greg McPheeters suggested the 49er EIR be brought up officially to the board.

It would help to show support for the Hetch Hetchy and bridge across Great America to be completed as part of the Santa Clara stadium proposal. The Hetch Hetchy is the only viable east west cross county connector north of El Camino central to businesses. Please spread the word to contact Santa Clara Council. I would appreciate the board taking official actions quickly. Please feel free to use any materials under the 49er directory at http://siliconvalleytrails.pbworks.com

Regards
Pat Grant

side note:

Basically the following was sent to multiple organization, from Save our Trails, COE of Silicon Valley Leadership Group, the 49 organization, to a personal contact that is an close acquittance of Steve Young.

The original letter to the DEIR was reviewed has support of key area leadership in the MTC and VTA planning, and Jack Lueder, head of the SC BPAC. I hope the SVBC joins in to gather in support for gains in the east west bicycle infrastructure, that with the stadium traffic load, can only be done with the Hetch Hetchy and Great America foot bridge

end of side note

I hope the 49ers will consider this win win change that would greatly improve the plan safety and green value

or http://tinyurl.com/y8lrtou MORE EVIDENCE - BRIDGES ARE USED IN MOST PRO FOOTBALL STADIUMS WITH SIMILAR LAYOUTS Also, in support a pedestrain bridge is needed across Great America, similar, even larger bridge/ grade separation have been used to move large numbers of people across streets in safety. In fact, in almost all cases where major parking was crossing busy streets for pro football, pedestrian grade separation was provided. Why should Santa Clara's Great America be the most dangerous stadium to walk to in America? Example of good design lacking in 49er's FEIR two bridges at Houstons's Reliant stadium http://tinyurl.com/yeze4wp , in Cincinnati football
stadium http://tinyurl.com/y9bum2y in Oakland stadium http://tinyurl.com/yz74jp2 in Raven stadium in Baltimore http://tinyurl.com/yzcus4f in Atlanta parking http://tinyurl.com/yffneog Seattle http://tinyurl.com/yjtu75h Chicago stadium http://tinyurl.com/yjsofba New Orleans superdome http://tinyurl.com/yfafww3 We hope it is a win win, for safety and welfare of all businesses, adjacent cities around a net gain.

Please, please upgrade your design to be more pedestrian friendly, encourage biking to the game and help the entire community with completion of a much needed cross county bicycle link centered on the 49er stadium
