hostility 101 at de la cruz in san jose

It use to be one lane merged onto south bound
highway 101 just past central expressway

then someone got the idea to have two
lanes merge onto the freeway
and changed the configuration of the ramp

now its more dangerous to cross over the
highway
as people tend to honk or cut off bikes
without signaling

as I said on KGO rant friday/any topic fri

101 at de la cruz, yield to bikes
im not getting on the freeway!

whom to complain too?
or raise this concern too?

thanks

It's been this way for a while. I wish you luck in getting any changes made.

I'd just tend to avoid it. Are you coming East on Central? in the past, going thru that intersection, I'd ride on the median to get thru the mess. Aside from that, I'd be tempted to take Lafayette (if heading north) or the Airport Bikeway (if continuing east).

It was around noon(!), and I just stayed in the middle lane, which can either go onto 101 or go straight. But there was no one behind me for a long time.
