Access to Reach 3 portion of the Creek Trail is now closed. The trail was open unofficially for a couple of days but now the Contractor insists on keeping it closed because of liability issues.
Until these liability issues can be resolved or until the entire project is completed and "signed off", the public will not have access to the Reach 3 portion of the Creek Trail. I know this will be disappointing for everyone but that is the situation we are facing. If you have made any plans hinging on access to the trail, it might be best to adjust accordingly or proceed with the understanding that you may not have access to this portion of the Creek Trail. As of now, the "Grand Opening" is planned for the first part of June.

I exchanged voice mail messages with the county engineer today and as of today it is open. I am going to ride in tomorrow to check it out.

Great news. It was open when I rode it late Thursday, 6/11/09, and was still open when I rode it this morning, 6/12/09. Thanks for your call, Chris! The open trail makes a huge difference in the quality of my daily ride to and from work.
