Congratulations to our "Influential" executive director!

February 3, 2011 - 10:16am -- colin

My boss, Corinne Winter, the Executive Director of SVBC, will join 99 other outstanding women to be featured in the Women of Influence special publication in the March 18 issue of the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal.

Being one of 100 select women in Silicon Valley is no small feat, especially considering that Corinne heads a community based non-profit, not a major corporation. She was selected by a group of prior honorees composed of leaders from some of the biggest enterprises in Silicon Valley. Her peers will join her and all the 2010 honorees at a celebratory dinner on April 14.

Congratulations, boss! I know the Silicon Valley cycling community is happy to have such an influential leader promoting the bicycle for everyday use.

This is really great news. I know that some of the previous women on this list have gone on to run for governor and senator. While it is possible that Corinne may follow in that path, I am sure that she will bring a more bicycle friendly platform with her. Way to go!
