Park(ing) Day 2010 is coming to the world on September 17. PARK(ing) Day is an annual, worldwide event that inspires city dwellers everywhere to transform metered parking spots into temporary parks for the public good. We want to see Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties participate in this event on a huge scale. Visit http://parkingday.org for ideas, inspiration, and advice from those in the know.
When you've decided on the appropriate place and theme, add it to our map of Park(ing) Spots throughout Silicon Valley. We'll hold a contest to determine the Park(ing) Spot that best converts automobile storage into valuable public space. The winner will be featured on this very website and receive a $100 gift certificate from Sports Basement!

Remember to make sure your idea is legal, safe, and of benefit to the community. Read the tips on the Park(ing) Day website and leave your space in better shape than you found it.
Park(ing) Day is an original concept of Rebar. www.rebargroup.org.
