Tamien Station Bike Path Improvements

The following will be in effect as indicated, weather and conditions permitting.

WHAT: Partial daytime bike lane closures will take place over a period of approximately 12 weeks as new lighting is installed on the bicycle path between Tamien Station and Willow Avenue. When work is completed, there will be a total of 22 freestanding and wall mounted lights along the bike path.

WHERE: From the Tamien Station Breezeway to Willow Street in the Willow Glen area of San Jose.

WHEN: Beginning Tuesday 1/20/09, 7am-5pm weekdays only.

WHY: Existing lights will be replaced and new lights installed in order to better illuminate the bike path.

DETOUR: None

NOTE: The contractor will provide warning signs on the bikeway noting partial closure ahead and will maintain an open path for cyclists at all times.
