San José Annual Trail Report

The City of San José has just completed and posted its seventh Annual Trail Program Report. The report provides an overview of the many trail projects that were planned, studied, designed and constructed over the past 12 months. The report also highlights a 9% increased use of its trails and notes that over 51% of trail users are commuting to and from work.

Guadalupe Trail closure notice

The Army Corps of Engineers directed its contractor to close a section of the Guadalupe Trail from Julian St. to Coleman Ave. today, before closure notifications could be posted. City of San José staff members are hurrying to get detour signage up.

Thanks to Yves Zutty of the City of San José for getting the word out to SVBC as soon as he knew. Updates regarding the trail can be found at the city's trails closure page - http://www.sjparks.org/Trails/TrailsClosures.asp
