How About a Pat on the Back!

Colin has already blogged about the Bike Advocacy Summit, so I won't go into any detail, but I do want to say that I found it very interesting and got a bunch of new ideas. If you can make it to the Friday program in San Jose, be sure to come. Don't worry if the ticket website is closed; you can deal with that at the door. Go to the SVBC website home page for more info.

On another note, we do try to let all the folks out there know what we are doing here at SVBC. I think we are really doing some great things in the areas of advocacy and getting more bicycle infrastructure, and our work to get more bikes on Caltrain and the upcoming bike share program, as well as our traditional bike safety education and Bike to Work Day Programs. Our goal is to make bicycling easy, safe, and fun for as many people as possible. It's a daunting job, but we have made headway!

We'd like some feedback, especially if it's positive! If you like what we're doing, tell us about it. It will be posted on a special page on our website, and you may be quoted in the new brochure we're designing that will be out for Bike to Work Day. This will help us promote what we do and that helps us make things better for you, the cyclist. Tell us what you feel positive about by emailing me, afisher@bikesiliconvalley.org. Or, just make a comment here! Thanks!
