East Campbell Avenue Improvement Project: The 35% Submittal plans were reviewed by City staff and comments were returned to the consultant team. This project involves Campbell Avenue from Railroad Avenue to Union Avenue and includes widening the bridge over Los Gatos Creek. Currently there are right of way issues with property owners. These right of ways will accommodate sidewalks and bulb-outs. Until recommendations are returned from the consultants, the project is on hold.

The Bike Hut on Tunitas Creek Road

I wanted to let you all know of The Bike Hut which will be of value to Bay Area cyclists. We'll grow organic vegetables and offer nutrition and cooking classes for local low-income families, provide environmental education programs for all ages and more.

Santa Clara Report

School Zones

In a previous edition of this report, I reported on the bad behavior of some drivers dropping off or picking up students at Buchser Middle School in September of last year. Cars were waiting in No Parking Zones, blocking the bike lane and staying in the waiting zone much longer than the posted three minute maximum. I did not witness any collisions, but there were several close calls.
