North Fair Oaks: Updated EIR to be published

The final North Fair Oaks Environmental Impact Report (EIR) will be published on Friday. The EIR will include a "change list" of items that have been incorporated and the public comments.

There were five written comments in favor of keeping the bike/pedestrian rail crossings, which contributed to the Planning Commission keeping them in the Plan. THANK YOU to everyone who sent comments.

The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors will be meeting on November 1, starting at 9am, and will review the final EIR then. It would be helpful if speakers were available to make comments in favor of the bike/pedestrian improvements we've been supporting.

In-person comments can make all the difference. The meeting is at Board of Supervisors Chambers at 400 County Center, Redwood City.

Starting Friday, October 21, the EIR will be available on the planning department website at http://www.co.sanmateo.ca.us/planning. The EIR will also be available for review beginning on Friday at the Planning and Building Department, 455 County Center, 2nd Floor, Redwood City, CA, and will be available for review at several other locations, described in the attached notice.
