North Fair Oaks: Planning Commission continues Draft Community Plan until next meeting

October 6, 2011 - 11:51am -- colin

The County of San Mateo Planning Commission considered the Draft North Fair Oaks Community Plan at the hearing on October 5th, and did not reach a decision at that time--the Commission continued the item until Wednesday, October 12th, when consideration will continue at 9:00 AM in the Board of Supervisors Chambers, 400 County Center, Redwood City.

The Planning Commission continued this item in order to provide opportunity for the Commissioners to further review materials and take time for more deliberative action; this means that the October 12th consideration of this item is in effect it a continuation of October 5th hearing. The Planning Commission may or may not allow additional public comment on October 12th, at the Commission's discretion (public comment on this item at the October 5th hearing was completed, and closed, and the Commission need not re-open public comment unless it decides to do so.) On October 12th, the Commission is likely to provide further comment and direction to Planning Department staff on the Community Plan and the Environmental Impact Report for the Plan, and may also vote whether to forward this item to the Board of Supervisors.

Because this item has been continued, the previously scheduled Board of Supervisors hearing has also been rescheduled: the North Fair Oaks Community Plan is now scheduled for consideration by the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, November 1st, at approximately 9:00 AM, in the Board of Supervisors Chambers at 400 County Center. This will be the first hearing of the Plan by the Board of Supervisors; it may be considered at additional hearings.

Any comments on the Plan may still be made to:
