  1. Hello, how do I get CalTrans to focus attention on two drain-cover grates on hwy 84 in La Honda that are the old-fashioned kind that can swallow a bike’s front wheel. I just noticed them recently and can’t get them out of my mind now. One is on the shoulder, west-bound, in front of the La Honda Country Market, where one might roll into it while regrouping after the fast part of the descent, and the other is a bit farther west in the intersection with Sears Ranch Road, barely to the right of the traffic lane. I have filed a report on CalTrans’s own hazard report form, a few weeks ago, and have gotten no response. I have some dramatic photos illustrating my point but nowhere to send them yet.

I might note that two of your links on your resource page come up with no result, the ones about reporting an incident and about reporting a hazard. Broken?

    Thank you,

    Liz Chapman, La Honda
